It's been a while... We do so many things that if you don't stay on top of this blogging thing the number of things you need to post about becomes daunting. We'll try to avoid that by just posting when we can and playing catch up as it happens.
Since I got back we've had so many amazing times and experiences. We had thanksgiving at our house with 30! friends here. That was impressive and, also, a lot of fun!
In December we went travelled to northern Italy and Austria to visit the Christmas Markets. That was beautiful, fun, and full of friends. Loved it all and will post about that later. We also took an amazing trip through western Germany and Luxembourg. More on that later too...
Christmas was kind of odd here. It was the least Christmassy Christmas we've ever had but that was because there are so many little details about life here that you have to actively manage (as opposed to in the States) that you're exhausted and there's just not much energy left to deal with anything else.
We travelled to London for MLK weekend. It was full of great experiences. More on that later too...
This past weekend, we went Blood Orange picking here in Sicily with 24 of our closest friends and strangers ;-)
So blood oranges only grow here in the Mt. Etna valley. The soil, climate, etc... culminated in a perfect pairing and turned navel oranges red and sweet. We drove out to Mineo to meet this farmer at his farm where we were able to pick as many oranges as we could carry home. We came prepared and got a ton!

After picking we were all invited back to their farmhouse on the side of a hill with a beautiful view of the countryside for a great homemade lunch featuring oranges, of course!
Just another weekend of fun and friends in Sicily. It never disappoints!
